Kyaing Tong & Its Environment      Kyaing Tong ( Kaungtong Formally )       It is an important business center and frontier town. The Golden  Triangle City   situated in the eastern part of the Shan State, is picturesque with many ethnic   groups living together harmoniously. It is accessible by flight from Yangon or by car   on a very rough road (160km) from Tachileik.  Trekking to Akha, Lahu, Wa,   Lishaw and Shans will offer you the most wonderful experience.       It is the major city of Eastern Shan State and border-town of Myanmar-China,   some 230 miles ( 456 kilos ) away from Taunggyi. Besides, Mahamyatmuni, Naungton   lake, ancient monantery together with pottery production, the commonest visiting points are those of Thittabin hillock and the   prettiest colourful model village of Lahu- Akha people. But, there are also Shan, Palaung and other too.      Mong La      Mong La is a town between Myanmar and China. Located 2 hour drive from Kyaing   Tong, this town is very active with its ethnic emotion and is famous for a modern   casino and show.
