Itinerary
Day
1 Arrival at Yangon airport, transfer
to the hotel. Sightseeing in the heart of the City. Visit Chaukhtutgyi
Pagoda, the
colossal reclining Buddha Image, and stroll up near Karaweik
royal floating barge. By the sun down, drive to
Shwedagon Pagoda to watch the activities
from the pagoda platform. Dinner with traditional
performance.

2 From Yangon to Kyaington
Flight to Kyaington, The capital of Eastern
Shan State. Transfer to Hotel.
Afternoon sightseeing in the town on foot, learn the Shan lacquer
ware work and sunset from Mountain. Dinner
and overnight in Kyaington.
Day
3 This morning we are trekking to
village where Akhar tribal people live.
The dressing of Akhar tribal peoples are
very similar to those of people who live in the Northern Thailand
called Ekaw people. On our return stop at village to
study the cottage industry of Kanbawza Shan People
such as sword, knifes, and betel nut cutters. Dinner and
overnight in Kayington.
Day
4 Morning visits Central
market to see the colorful minorities of
Northern Shan
State.
Then continue to Buffalo's market to learn
the purchasing of animals. Continue to Pindaya.
Day
5 In Pindaya,
stop at five days tribal market, and Taungyoe tribal village en route.
Again visit Pindaya Cave in which
thousands of Buddha Images are adorned at every corner and niche of
the cave. Continue to Kalaw.
Day
6 After breakfast in Kalaw start
trekking to Tayaw Palaung (Silver Palaung)
village. These Palaung people are called
Golden Palaung. View the tealeaf plantation,
and Thanatphet of which is used for Burmese Cheroot. Visit new
village, and drop at monastery. Again visit Long tent in which ten
or more families are living together. Continue to Inle
lake.
Day
7 Inle explore in and around the
lake by small boat. Learn the life of fishermen, floating gardens
on which fruits, flowers,
and vegetables are grown. Visit Nampan market or
Ywama floating market or another one (depend on five
days' movement) to watch the colorful minorities of Shan State. Phaungdawoo
Pagoda is right in the center of the
lake and famous for it's five shapeless Buddha Images heavily gilded
with gold . Then continue to floating village to
learn the daily life of Intha people. Visit Silversmith, Handloom
weaving in Einpawkone village.
Ngahpechaung Monastery is famous for its' well trained jumping
cats. Dinner and overnight in Inle.
Day
8 Drive to Taunggyi
and visit the market, on every fifth day,
is crowded with ethnic minorities in their traditional
dresses. Then fly to Mandalay.
Day
9 Sightseeing in Mandalay and Amarapura
The sight seeing to Shwenandaw Monastery,
the only remaining apartment of original Mandalay
palace, and Kuthotaw Pagoda known the World
largest book for its Buddhist inscription. Visit Gold
leaf making,
Stone carving, and bronze casting
which are only to be seen in Mandalay. Mahamuni
pagoda is the most
important object for all Buddhist people. Climb up the Mandalay
hill to view panorama of the surrounding area.
Drive to silk-weaving cottage industry in
Amrapura, and U Bein
Bridge built by teak wood of residue of old
palace and is over 140 Years old, Dinner and overnight at Mandalay.

10 Continue sightseeing in
Mingon, Ava and Sagaing
Visit to Kywezon Jetty to take the ferryboat to Mingon along Irrawaddy
River. Visit to Mingon Bell, the world largest
ringing bell, Mingon Pagoda, the world biggest
unfinished Pagoda, Myatheintan Pagoda of
strange looking
pagoda. Continue to Ava,
the previous Palace before Mandalay. Then continue to Sagaing,
the famous Center to
Religious Retreat, and to learn the life
of Nuns. Ywahtaung village is noted for
the silverware cottage industry.
Go back to Mandalay. Dinner and overnight
at Mandalay.

11 Drive to Pyinoolwin and
sightseeing
Overland Drive to Pyinoolwin (Maymyo), the British hill station with
Victoria style houses. Visit Local market
and
walk around the town to watch the old British style of Houses that
can not be seen even in Britain. Drive to
Botanical Garden to learn the different
species of trees, plants and flowers. Continue driving to Mandalay
and
overnight in Mandalay.

12 From Mandalay to Lashio
Morning visit to Hsibaw, the old capital
of Shan tribal Highland Chief of Northern Shan State,by serveying
the
Landscape of Shan plateau, and view the life of the Shan People, then
pass through over the famous Gokhteik
Viaduct. Transfer to Hotel and overnight
at Lashio.
Day
13 Visit in and around Lashio area
containing Hot Spring and Local Market. Overnight
at Lashio.
Day
14 Overland drive to Mandalay with
visit en route. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day
15 Boat trip along Majestic Irrawady
river. You can see the view of Irrawaddy river and ways of life along
the river.
Overnight at Bagan.

16 Treasure tours include Nyaungoo
local market to watch the populace
of the environs, and continue to
Shwezigon Pagoda, the
prototype of later Myanmar Stupa. Sulamani
Temple is noted for its finest brickwork
and the pilaster carving while Dhamanyangyi
Temple presents the most massive temple
that has never been
damaged by the Natural disasters, Ananda
Temple is the masterpiece of Bagan built
in the form of perfect Greek
cross. Visit Myinkaba village to
learn the processing of regional product lacquer-ware
making, and
Gubyaukgyi Temple,
Manuha Temple built by
the captive king's temple where he
expressed his mental suffering.

located on the bank of Majestic River Ayeyarwaddy.

17 Visit to Tu
Yin Taung, you can see the bird-eye view of Bagan
from the hill, Mya Lake, it can be seen
with
bird-eye view
from Tu Yin Taung. Near the Tu Yin Taung ranges so many historical
monument remains such as
Saw Yahan Ordination
Hall. Then, visit to Kyaukku U Min,Tha Mee Whet
U Min. After Lunch, visit to
TanKyi Taung, there has glittering
Tankyi Taung pagoda, at the other side of bank of Irrawaddy
river by boat.
Breath taking sunset from the boat along
the Irrawaddy river. Overnight in Bagan.

18 Drive to Mount
Popa the Olympia of Myanmar and known as
the home of Nats (spirits). There are Thirty seven
Life-size Nat statues fully dressed with their respective Nats (Spirits)
costumes. Drop at village and Monastery to
learn the daily life of the country people and survey the landscape.
Overnight in Bagan.
Day
19 Visit the Ancient Capital Bagan(1044-1287
AD).
Visit the Ancient Capital. Dhamayazeka pagoda is
the symbol to study the worshipping of future Buddha.
Visit Minnanthu,
and Pwasaw village to learn the country
life. Shwesantaw pagoda is the earliest
pagoda build
by King Anawyahta while Mingalarzedi was
the last stupa built in Bagan period. Visit Myingaba
village and drop
one house after another to study the processing of local product lacquer
ware. Then stop at Gubyaukgyi temple
to learn the earliest fresco.
Manuha temple is to see the mental feeling
of its royal builder in those days. Proceed to Nagayon
and Abeyatana
temple,
and view the panorama from Lakanada pagoda.
Fly back to Yangon and Overnight at Yangon.

20 Fly back to Yangon, and last minutes
visit to Great Shwedagon Pagoda, the most
impressive Stupa over 2500
years, Scotch Market for shopping, and National Museum to learn Royal
Regalias of the last King of Myanmar which
are made of real gold studded with rubies, emeralds, diamonds, jades
and so on. Departure for airport in the evening. |
